When translated from Bangla, JOTNO (যত্ন) means “care”.

Throughout their respective careers, the founders of JOTNO have cared deeply about the sustainable development of communities across Bangladesh and the world. Even then, we recognize that no one has a greater stake in the well-being and care of a community than the people themselves. As a human-centered development organization, JOTNO views “success” in terms of lasting change to systems, depth of experiences for individuals, and cultivating meaningful relationships between people. 

Through our work, we hope to learn from communities while giving them the agency and opportunity improve their own lives and consequently the lives of others.
